GTA Annexure V and Annexure VI, GTA GST Rates

Under the GST regime in India, transportation of goods by road is considered a taxable service, and businesses providing such transportation services are termed Goods Transport Agencies (GTAs).

What is GTA?




As per NN.11/2017-CT (Rate), GTA means any person who provides service in relation to transport of goods by road and issues consignment note, by whatever name called.

GST is applicable to the services provided by GTAs.

Registration: GTA services are required to register for GST if their annual aggregate turnover exceeds the threshold limit, which was INR 20 lakhs (INR 10 lakhs for special category states)

GTA GST Rates

If GTA wants to opt for FCM then he has to file Annexure V online on GST portal till 31st Match for new Financial Year.

 After logging in, navigate to Services User Services > Opting Forward Charge Payment by GTA (Annexure V) option.

Note: You are required to submit the declaration in Annexure V Form on the portal only (w.e.f. FY 2023-24 onwards) if you are providing GTA services and to opt-in for payment of tax on Forward Charge. The declaration should be filed on the portal by the cut-off date i.e. 31 March

On clicking Opting Forward Charge Payment by GTA (Annexure V), a pop-up message will be displayed. Click on Proceed button to file Annexure V.

Here is option to file Annexure V

NotePROCEED TO FILE button will be enabled only after the selection of the checkboxes.

7. The verification page is displayed. Select the Verification checkbox, Name of Authorized Signatory from the drop-down list and enter the Place

Note
•    PREVIEW & SIGN AND FILE WITH EVC button will enabled only after the selection of Verification box, Name of Authorized Signatory and Place field. 
•    You can preview the draft Annexure V Form by clicking the PREVIEW button.

Note: The Preview of Annexure V Form is displayed.




8. Click on SIGN AND FILE WITH EVC.

9. Enter the OTP sent to email and mobile number of the Authorized Signatory(ies) registered at the GST Portal and click on the VERIFY button.

10. After successfully validating, a success message with RN (reference no. would be generated) will be displayed. Click on DOWNLOAD ANNEXURE V button to download the filed Annexure V Form.

11. The Annexure V Form is displayed.


You will receive system generated email and SMS notification after successfully filing Annexure V Form.

Note : If you want to download the Annexure V Form for previous Financial Year, then select the financial year from the drop-down menu and click on the GO button. Click on DOWNLOAD ANNEXURE V button to download the Filed Annexure V Form PDF document.

Note: If the Annexure V Form is not filed for the selected financial year, then following message is displayed. 

Once GTA opt option to pay tax under FCM and File Annexure V, he do not require to fill Annexure V every year

But if he wants to opt out from FCM & opts for RCM then he have to file Annexure VI for the same
