Income Tax Department Announces Grievance Redressal Month

The Income Tax Department is observing the “Grievance Redressal Month” from 22nd April 2024 to 22nd May 2024. During this month, special attention will be paid to quick and effective resolution of the grievances filed by the taxpayers on the CPGRAM and E-Nivaran portals of the Department and through other modes. In this regard, along with the online facilities, the Tamil Nadu and Puducherry Region of the Department is making special arrangements for the taxpayers and their representatives to meet their Jurisdictional Assessing Officers and the Senior officers, in person, if they so desire, in connection with resolution of their grievances.




It is brought to the notice of all concerned that at all the stations in TN & P region where the Department has offices, the senior most officer of the Jurisdictional PCIT Charge and his team will be personally available to meet the tax payers and their representatives in the ASK Centre or at a dedicated space in the office (wherever ASK Centre is not available) on every Wednesday starting from 24h April till 22d May 2024 from 10:30 AM to 01:30 PM to receive and resolve the taxpayers’ grievances.

This facility will be available on 24″ April, 1″ May, 8th May, 15′ May and 22d May 2024, in addition to the existing online grievance redressal mechanism facility.
