Dear Taxpayers,
The Invoice Management System (IMS) is now live and available to assist you in managing your invoices and ensuring the correct claim of Input Tax Credit (ITC). This system allows you to match invoices issued by your suppliers against your own records, helping you avoid errors in ITC claims.
With the IMS, taxpayers can now:
- Accept invoices for immediate ITC claims,
- Reject invoices that do not align with their records, and
- Keep invoices pending for review or ITC claims at a later time.
The first GSTR-2B, reflecting actions taken in the IMS, will be generated for the October 2024 return period and available on 14th November, 2024.
For a better understanding of how to use this system and make the most of its features, we encourage you to review our Additional FAQs on IMS, which provide clear explanations of its functionality and best practices.

Thanking You,
Team GSTN
