A Proven Track Record of Success
The E-Way Bill system, implemented nationwide since April 2018, has been a resounding success. With over 480 crore e-way bills generated in the past six years, the system has functioned flawlessly, providing 24/7 service without any downtime. This achievement is further bolstered by the robust Business Continuity Plan (BCP) established in Hyderabad for both the E-Way Bill and E-Invoice1 systems.
Introducing E-Way Bill 2: Enhanced Availability and Seamless Integration
In line with GSTN’s commitment to continuous improvement, the E-Way Bill 2 Portal serves as a parallel system to the existing portal, specifically designed to ensure high availability of e-way bill services.
Taxpayers and logistics operators can leverage their existing login credentials to access the E-Way Bill 2 Portal. The system offers critical functionalities for e-way bill management, including generation, updation of vehicle and transporter details, printing, and cancellation. Additionally, data from the E-Way Bill 2 Portal will be validated, merged, and made available on the primary portal for comprehensive business analysis.

- Increased System Redundancy: The E-Way Bill 2 Portal acts as a reliable backup, minimizing disruptions due to unforeseen technical issues with the main portal.
- Seamless Integration with E-Invoice System: The portal is integrated with additional e-invoice portals, ensuring a smooth e-way bill generation process without impacting e-invoice generation.
- Independent Functionality: E-Way Bills can be generated and updated directly on the E-Way Bill 2 Portal.
